Our adventures started on Monday (probably should insert a photo of the packed-full Hyundai, if I had one) as we loaded up our vehicle, dog, and child and headed North to Seabeck. Over the mountains and through the woods, to Grammy's house we went.
We enjoyed lots of food! As you can see to the left, Dave cooked up a great-tasting turkey for dinner. On another night, we made lots of Thai food: Drunken noodles, Pad Thai, and homemade PF Changs lettuce wraps.
The game closet got cleaned out as we explored each and every game held deep within. A stimulating game of Outburst, a tense game of Jenga, Tribond, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Headbanz.Michaela found the entire week to be very amusing! Which then made her very tired. Luckily, there was always coffee to keep us awake.
On Wednesday night, we all loaded into the Tahoe and headed to Tacoma and Point Defiance to take in Zoo Lights. Michaela especially enjoyed her early Christmas present (notice the blue snow suit).
At last Christmas Eve morning arrived. With mom in her kerchief and I in my cap, we went down the stairs to see what Santa had left. Michaela enjoyed her first Christmas present from Aunt Abbey and Uncle Dave.
As is our tradition, we joined Mimi and Papa for Christmas Eve's Vesper Service at Rose Valley Friends Church. The service was lovely, the lasagna was better, but best of all was family together.
Back to the car and south we went, to Nana and Grandpa's house where Christmas day we spent. We ate a traditional meal of roast beef and cranberry steam pudding and played a scintillating game of speed scrabble and dominoes. Thus finished our Christmas week of celebrating Jesus' birth.

Thanks for posting all the pictures from your Christmas holiday. I can't believe how big Michaela is getting. She is adorable, I need to see her soon!
